The AIM Christmas party went off with a bang, fizz and a crackle this afternoon!
The day dawned cold and crisp, parents (many of whom are autistic themselves) travelled from as far as Huntingdon and Limehouse bringing their children to meet and party at Wensley Close in Eltham. The children enjoyed themselves immensely playing on the outdoor equipment which includes a basket swing, climbing frame and a see saw.
New friendships were made and the well equiped sensory room was on hand to help calm, regulate and warm them after their outside exploits! The adults made useful connections, it’s always a joy to see new bonds formed as support and acceptance flows.
The raffle was a great success with £41 raised!
Many thanks to Mairi McCallan for the wonderful Christmas cake and amazing Christmas tree festooned with edible treats!
Thank you to Joby Briggs and all at Wensley Close for again allowing us the space to use!
Thank you to Greggs, Quack Quack books, Dave Courtney, McDonalds and The Works for their kind donations.
Merry Christmas everyone from all of us here at AIM!
