AIM – The Launch At Nando’s

The first official launch gathering of Autistic Inclusive Meets took place at the Nando’s restaurant in the o2, where the manager and staff kindly laid on complimentary food and drinks for up to twenty autistic adults, children and their parents.

Individuals, that had up until then spoken only online socialised and enjoyed the delicious meal while the children ate their fill and played happily making full use of the drink machine and enjoying the frozen yogurt.

Thank you to all who attended we hope you enjoyed yourselves and will consider joining us as members of our new organisation AIM, from the pictures seen here and the quotes taken I believe we will go from strength to strength.

Thank you again to Peter the manager of Nando’s from all of us at AIM!

Alex Forshaw- Fantastic to meet in person and finally see the people I’ve only seen online before. It’s very comfortable to be in a social setting among other autistic folk, it’s something I don’t get many opportunities to do which makes it especially valuable to me.

P.s. Glad I wore an elasticated waist!

Therese Johnson- Our second time here and we really enjoyed ourselves! The food was delicious and it was great meeting new faces and friends. Thank you Emma and Nando’s for organising this. I look forward to the next one!
